Bona Flies 8,245 km to Singapore to Give Birth

President Robert Mugabe’s daughter, Bona, has flown 8,245 kilometres to Singapore in order to give birth there.

At a time when there are numerous world-class health centres and hospitals in Zimbabwe, Bona Mugabe Chikore, flew to Singapore with her mother, Grace soon following after her, so she can deliver. Two entourages on taxpayers’ expense are at present in Singapore.
Her father, Robert, revealed this during the funeral of the late heroine Victoria Chitepo. Mugabe said his wife, Grace was unable to attend as she is in the Far East with daughter Bona, about to give birth. The funding for the trip is from the government treasury which expenditure Mugabe’s office has remained mum about. “There was such a great friendship between my present wife and Mai Chitepo. He continued,”akati ndoda kuberekera kuno kwandakadzidza. Kunana Chiremba vandinoziva so she is about to give birth. She is about to give birth, it’s a matter of days… She will be heartbroken,” said Mugabe.

  4. Minister Parirenyatwa has just condemn Chiredzi Hospital maternity ward build in 1967 an unsafe because of the state of rot and decay. No doubt Mugabe’s daughter would not want to be seen dead in it and yet this is where the 67 or so new mothers have to crowd into because they have no where else to go. The money for the air ticket for just one of the many people accompanying Mugabe’s daughter would made a significant improvement to the comfort of the mothers in Chiredzi and save hundreds of lives! This is just how meaningless the situation in our country has become!

  15. This is an indictment on Dzasukwa’s reign. All this mantra about patriotism is just that. Bona has joined the gravy train. First Gushungo grand child with a foreign citizenship by birth. I’m sure this kid most likely named Look East will have dual citizenship which Chechule has tried to deny most Diasporans.

  22. No she’ll have to stay there for a while at Chamunorwa tax payer expense if I might say until the child is strong enough to fly. I don’t know how she will handle economy class as some airlines restrict babies travelling in business class. Bona is following in parents’ steps. Routine medical procedures in Singapore.
