In an unusual act bravery the minor jumped on top of his sister and thwarted an attempt by Chinondo Mapfumo from inserting his erect manhood into the 18-year-old girl’s private parts. As Mapfumo attempted to rip apart the girl’s undergarments after tripping her, the minor jumped on top of his sister to thwart the man’s efforts to rape the juvenile’s sister.
Mapfumo of Mapfumo Village appeared before Zvishavane Magistrate Peter Madiba last week-facing attempted rape charges.
In early May around midnight, Mapfumo went to the girl’s bedroom where she was sleeping with her brother. He persistently knocked on the door -saying he wanted to see the boy’s sister. In a state of panic the brother and sister decided to seek help from neigbhours. As they ran away, from their home, Mapfumo tripped the girl and tried to tear her undergarments apart. The boy who was running ahead of his sister turned and saw Mapfumo battling to rip apart his sister’s undergarments. The minor jumped and sat on top of his sister. In the ensuing melee, the girl hit Mapfumo on the head with a stone and managed to escape. She reported the matter to the police the following day, leading to Mapfumo’s arrest.
