Terrence Mawawa, Shurugwi| A prominent local businessman tycoon has been ordered to pay four beasts by Chief Ndanga for having an affair with a married woman.
Daniel Hapazarihwo, who runs a supermarket in Shurugwi was summoned to Chief Ndanga’s traditional court last week.
Chief Ndanga ruled that Hapazarihwo was guilty of snatching Admire Magocha’s wife, Tsitsi Makonese.
He ordered the businessman to pay four beasts but the defiant Hapazarihwo has since taken the matter to the civil court.
In his application to the civil court Hapazarihwo indicated the Chief’s court had no jurisdication to make such a ruling. He also said he was not given time to respond to the issue. He further stated that Chief Ndanga’s court did not have the evidence he had an affair with Tsitsi.
In his affidavit Magocha said he grilled his wife about the affair and she conceded she was in love with the business tycoon.
“I asked my wife about her relationship with Hapazarihwo and she denied at first but she later admitted. After her admission, I called Hapazarihwo to my house and we discussed the matter. He then agreed to pay $5000,00
Hapazarihwo asked for some days while he looked for the money but he later on denied everything,” said Magocha in his affidavit.
