By Terrence Mawawa, Masvingo|Former Caps United captain and Triangle FC veteran defender David Sengu has been arrested for having sex with his 14 year old maid, ZimEye.com has established.
Sengu was remanded in custody by a Triangle magistrate when he recently appeared in court facing allegations of sleeping with the minor.
The football star’s wife Thobekile Moyo suspected her husband had an extra marital affair with the maid and she probed the girl and later fired her.
The girl explained the matter to her parents who took her for a medical examination and it was confirmed there was penetration .
It is understood Sengu would lure the girl with money and presents and he slept with her several times while instructing her not to disclose the matter to anyone .
The Caps United legend was part of the all conquering Green Machine of 2004 and 2006.
He later joined Triangle FC and helped the club to win promotion into the top flight league.
Football fans here expressed disappointment at the incident saying football legends are expected to behave in an exemplary manner in the community.
Sengu is expected to appear in court for final trial on the matter.
