FIERY opponent of Harare businessman Phillip Chiyangwa in the race for the ZIFA Presidency, Lesley Gwindi has no love for football, says Mr Chiyangwa.
Chiyangwa threw daggers at Gwindi who says the businessman is automatically disqualified from contesting. The businessman told ZimEye.com Gwindi was nowhere to be seen at the late Footballers Association Sec General Paul Gundani’s burial.
Gwindi thus has no love for football, says Chiyangwa. “Ndasvika Ku funeral Kwa Gundani Lesley asipo ndashushikana kuti love ye Bhora iripi even contribution kana, iye na Takavada na Juul, they tell blue lies that they love football yet they despise the family of football.
“Dai Lesley akumbira mari ye fuel, Ndaimupa nekuti muzukuru wangu, ndaimuwedzera ye Chema” – He should have asked for fuel money and I would have given him including the funeral donation”, added Chiyangwa.
Furthermore despite reports by Gwindi charging that he has been disqualified, Chiyangwa says he has been approved by the ZIFA electoral committee to contest for the ZIFA Presidency.
On Friday Lesley Gwindi tore into Chiyangwa listing technical details for his disqualification for the top post whose contest is in 3 weeks’ time. Chiyangwa on Saturday afternoon told ZimEye.com the contrary in true,” the ZIFA electoral committee has approved my participation,” he said.
