By Staff Reporter| Fearing the powerful ShutDown protest today, CIO agents last night sought to threaten NERA leaders.
The ZRP has admitted defeat, saying it cannot contain the power of determined citizens, as they issued instructions countrywide to cops not to agitate the angry povo. Scores of riot police officers were last week physically humiliated when they attacked citizens in Harare.
The securocrats have since invented cunning ways of demoralising the public.
Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume received visitors in dark suits last night. He told ZimEye.com, “I have just arrived home this evening only to get news that identified Zanu Pf youths and unidentified state security agents were at my house in a twin cab Nissan Hardbody. They have threatened to come and burn down our house overnight so as to “deal with me over the shutdown tomorrow.
“We take their threats seriously but we are not afraid. Zimbabwe needs transformation, ” he added.
Meanwhile thousands of kombi drivers around the country last night heeded the call to park their vehicles in today’s shut down campaign. National Vendors Union leader Sten Zvorwadza told ZimEye.com today’s move is a stay away, and Friday (2nd September) is a NERA march.
Below was Transform Zimbabwe’s press statement following the development:
Unidentified state agents and some identified ZANU PF youths made an unexpected visit at the residence of Transform Zimbabwe President Jacob Ngarivhume this afternoon. Upon realising his irresistible influence on his stance on the regime and Electoral reforms they are now desperate to silence him as a way of dealing with the 31st of August shutdown. Their trait of intimidating the opposition is maturing by day as they desperately want to maintain political dominancy which they think is their birthright.
What is disturbing is the fact that the leadership of ZANU PF till to date have not spoken against political violence as that is viewed as a practice that have kept them going till today. We urge the leadership of ZANU PF to denounce such evil practices or else they will lead this country into an irreversible blood birth and destabilise the whole region.
Our Aim as Transform Zimbabwe is to bring a new culture of politics defined in love. This is possible when ZANU PF youths mind their business, when the police are non partisan and when democracy carries the same definition for everyone. Those who have the capacity to shut the nation tomorrow cannot be stopped by any form of intimidation.
Jehovah is our Salvation. Our Resolve is Unshakeable.

  1. If the signature of state security agents is a dark suit, then God help us for who will not be labelled. Conveniently, nothing is said about the registration plate because it would reveal a dearth of creativity within the rank and file of opposition. Even nonentities, insignificant political parties and their nondescript officials are clamouring for a place in the sun by hoisting the state security tag. What is Transform Zimbabwe and who is Jacob Ngarivhume? My take on this is that this sorry article is not news but comment from the disinformation desk of amateur spinning. Dofo ngarivhume kuti apa rakonewa. Stern is neither a vendor nor a politician but just a perpetually angry man with little time, if any, for meaningful contribution to his family, let alone the country.
The so-called Staff Reporter who authored this excuse of an article should be advised to stop this monkey business because the bigger baboons who edit his work are seething with anger at this shoddy work and may contemplate withholding pay, in which case his dark suit may be the only thing hanging on his wardrobe rail.
