AMSHeR represents gays, lesbians, sex workers transgender people and people who use drugs.

AMSHeR executive director Kene Esom confirmed the pulling down of their stands which he said happened on Sunday and was later resolved.
“It was an issue of labelling, and naming of our stands which attracted their attention .This is the problem we are having of hiding things which are happening that is fuelling the spread of HIV, and we are saying we should name and label things and issues as they are ,”he said.
“We are saying there are men who are having sex with men. There are women, who are having sex with women, and there are sex workers, and these are realities happening in our societies, but we continue pretending as if these people do not exist”.
“Who are these men who are having sex with men, and who are the clients of sex workers? , and this is what we are saying,” said Esom.
Esom said a compromised was however reached.Bonyongwe
