Out of sorts Andrew Langa turns to God

Ousted and left out of sorts former ZANU PF chairman for Matabeleland South province Andrew Langa has sought divine.
The former ZANU PF Matabeleland South strong man confessed to finally finding God and was baptised into the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Filabusi on Saturday.
Langa who is also former Minister of Sports was last year kicked out of both cabinet and party positions through a vote of no confidence by ZANU PF supporters in the province. His crime was that he had been heard criticising First Lady Grace Mugabe at his lodge in Filabusi while guzzling a bottle of whisky.
Sources within the party in Matabeleland South claim that he tried hard to use drunkenness as his defence at the time of an inquiry into allegations against him. He was quoted as having said the First Lady was talkative and did not have respect for elders in the party leading to his instant dismissal.
The Insiza North legislator was not only stripped of his leadership positions but went on to lose land, businesses and houses in Filabusi which he had obtained using his muscle as the top ZANU PF person in the province. He survived parliamentary recall by a whisker through the mercy of party leader President Robert Mugabe.
In the course of last year, Langa who is disliked by opposition party members in the province for links to several political violence led murders and abductions, lost two members of his immediate family.
Speaking after his baptism ceremony, Langa said that he had turned to God, repented of his sinful life and is now asking for forgiveness for all his past miscondunct.
He also attributed ills faced by his family to the ungodly life he was leading prior to his repentance. The heavy drinking Member of Parliament further claimed that he has since quit drinking beer.
He attributed his new Christian life to the influence of President Robert Mugabe himself a self confessed loyal catholic.
“If the President himself can declare himself to God and lead a holy life, why not me?” said Langa.

He did this so that if you believe Him and confess Him with your mouth you are saved not because you said Mugabe is a Catholic, yes I have avoided using the term Christian forgive me for that, it is deliberate.
