Hurungwe West’s new MP Keith Guzah has fired back at his rival Tembla Mliswa who on Wednesday alleged that he funded Guzah to win against him.
At least five(5) of Mliswa’s supporters were said to have been hospitalised after being attacked by Guzah’s alleged agents. But at a time when Mliswa had opened several lawsuits, he alleges that he also simultaneously funded Guzah to crush him.
Responding in no uncertain terms, Guzah said Mliswa’s claims were laughable.
“What can I say but laugh on such ridiculous laughable claims. comments on cheap political statements coming from a confused political ‘has been’ who is looking for a political space to remain relevant?,” he told ZimEye.com in an interview Thursday morning.
He continued, “it’s laughable for one to make such funny statements and expect right thinking people to believe that he funded me and instructed Hurungwe west chairpersons to vote for me in the Zanu PF primaries …..
“but failed to instruct them to vote for him during the by election between him and me?
“I also wonder how one funds someone with more resources than you! What a joker! At least he keeps idle minds entertained.
“Look, I won’t spend time playing to the gallery. I have a constituency to attend to and bread and butter issues to deal with in parliament.”
