Thokozani Khupe |I wish to salute the brave women of Kwekwe, Chitungwiza, Cape Town, the UK and the USA Diaspora who sprung into action with the ‪#‎BeatThePot‬campaign to highlight the devastating hunger that Zimbabweans are facing everyday due to the poor governance policies of President Robert Mugabe and Zanu PF. It was a very encouraging sight to see Zimbabwean women’s determination and resolve being tougher than armoured police water cannons, the fully geared riot police, and the intimidating state agents. Women overcame their fear to demand that Mugabe and Zanu PF must make way for a government that will put food on their tables, and a government that will be ushered in by a free, fair and credible elections.
