Below are the latest details concerning the baby boy found dumped in a blair toilet at Fairfields, Mvuma on Saturday.

The latest witness statements say the lad was dumped on Thursday not Friday as earlier claimed, and so likely spent two nights in the pit.

The little lad was spotted Saturday morning after his voice was heard crying 6 feet below while soiled in smelly human waste in the pit. People who rescued him struggled to do the task only to finally manage using the help of specials tools.
MYSTERY EXPLAINED:
A certain Mr Mtangi who witnessed some of the drama on Thursday last week has spoken of his recollections.
Mr Mtangi voluntarily states that he regrets ignoring to alarm bells raised by his wife, that a woman who was with them at the bus stop on the morning of Thursday 31st March 2016 around 10am had visited the toilets at Mushaike- Fairfield’s business centre and returned with out the baby hence a towel which was seemingly strapping the baby at her back, was dangling on her waist without the baby.
Urayayi further states that, he was accompanying his wife to board a bus to Harare where his wife was taking their own baby for medicals, and in no time had a Harare bound bus arrived and his wife still awe struck boarded the bus and left whereas, the baby dumber walked scort free heading for Mvuma town +-14 km away from Fairfield’s with the belief that her baby had drowned in what she thought was a fasces infested pit latrine.
Urayayi best describes the woman as of middle height and most probably in her middle 20’s, thereabout between 23-28 years of age and of chocolate completion.
The woman was wearing a black gin skirt, a purple blouse and carrying a black satchel.
Mr Mtangi further states that, before the dumbing of the cute baby boy, the woman looked confused and troubled, hence he dared to enquire since he was equally troubled with his own kid’s illness.
The baby miraculously survived in the latrine, six meters in the ground for more than 2 and half days- approximately 50hrs without and devoid human interaction up and until he awoken on the 2nd of April in the comfort of human faeces when he heard my voice!
When I saw the baby cry, I could tell it was going to survive and the boy did survive.
Long live sir “Fairfield’s Chamakanda” the name I attribute to this handsome “beautiful” miraculous baby!
