#ThisFag pastor Evan Mawarire has received a cold shoulder from top preachers, Ezekiel Guti, Andrew Wutaunashe and Emmanuel Makandiwa.
Mawarire’s plea for help from the pastors fell on deaf ears resulting in the man speeding out of Zimbabwe his wife and kids following shortly after that.
In July Mawarire shot a passionate video of himself directly seeking help from his contemporaries who currently own and run Zimbabwe’s largest church-empires, Guti, Wutaunashe, and Makandiwa. A quick check at church services around the country since that announcement showed not a single sign of action from the leaders. One ZAOGA Forward In Faith preacher told ZimEye while defending Ezekiel Guti, “Baba (Father) Guti does not encourage us to fight the government.”
The leader who cannot be named as they do not have official permission, added claiming that the Bible does not allow believers to criticise government. This was so despite several passages being present in the book in which politicians are attacked and in one section even Jesus Christ openly labels Herod the King, “a fox.”
But the leader was adamant saying Guti “constantly tells us to abide by what the Bible says.”
Meanwhile the same fearful attitude prevailed in Makandiwa and Wutaunashe’s churches where Mawarire’s name was never mentioned in prayer requests during the time the preacher was under a vicious ZRP raid. More than a month later, there is still no mention of Mawarire’s name or concern for the man whose wife was threatened with rape by ZANU PF hooligans.
Although direct comments from the respective preachers were not possible at the time of writing. Ezekiel Guti is on record preaching saying Robert Mugabe must rule until death if he so wishes, and Wutaunashe says God through the 2013 elections gave Mugabe “another chance to complete what he started.” Guti, Wutaunashe, and Makandiwa are individually hailed as “the voice of God.”

Mawarire is a Moses send from God. Why should he need Guti, Makandiwa and wicked Utaunashe Mugabe’s papet. Prayer doesn’t need prominent of people to be answered anywhere.

wutawunashe cheated with Bisop Makhao. i am a former member of FOG now going to the newly formed church. Fog lost more than half of its members to the newly formed church especially in bulawyo and masvingo. These so called pastors and profits are not concerned about the country. Their priority is to shear the sheep at every opportunity and this current govt makes them very popular and gives them immense power over suffering people’s minds. So why would anyone expect them to go against it. How many of them have received land etc from this govt. God is the only solution not a man who struggles with sin and greed like any other human being. Zimbabweans need to stop the idolatry with these pastors/profits. Worshipping them putting them on pedestals yet they are rapists, womanisers and frauds. No wonder as a nation we are under judgement. Judgement night this n that u gotta be joking. Wake up people.
