MP Muchauraya Arrested in Mutare

The MP for Makoni South, Pishai Muchauraya was on Friday arrested in Mutare by the Law And Order Section department of the local police.
Exact reasons for the arrest were not clear at the time of writing.
By 4PM Muchauraya’s cellphone was still not reachable since the arrest several hours earlier.
Muchauraya is being charged with the alleged murder of former MDC-T MP, John Nyamande.

He is also facing charges of allegedly threatening to kill aspiring legislator contending for the same constituency he currently serves, the former veteran journalist Geoff Nyarota. Recently however Muchauraya’s house was attacked by unknown assailants on the 24th April.

  4. Oh really? I’m impressed by the efficiency of our police. For where else in the whole world could police standby and listen to someone confessing to have murdered and worse still, threatens to kill a party rival?
