Defiant..Munyeza

Pastor and businessman Shingi Munyeza, has once again scoffed at President Robert Mugabe for failing to turn around the economy.
The clergyman who was recently summoned by the police after publishing a document, urging Zimbabweans to brace for harder times, at the weekend warned that government was unable to mend the economy which  continues to deteriorate. He makes the warning in a new document he published ‘We are Already in the Turbulence’.
“A little while ago, I warned of a severe turbulence, we have now entered into a severe turbulence,” he said.
The defiant pastor cited the recent refusal by doctors to accept medical aid cards, deferment of civil servants salaries by government, arrest of Occupy Africa Unity Square activists, winding bank queues, and continued harassment of citizens by government officials, among a host of challenges that require the population to fasten their safety belts.
Munyeza joins several other citizens, who have taken to social media platforms to vent their anger against government misrule and further deterioration of the economy.
The campaigns are aimed at pressing the government to urgently attend to the crisis before it triggers mass uprisings.

  1. We have all tried something and failed. So the failure of a hotel business does not reduce Munyeza’s role in the christian council. That’s a case or irrelevance Cde Njelele. Church leaders speak out in boldness against injustices.

  3. Pamberi na Munyeza’s. I admire and salute yo bravery to be able to stand up to wicked leaders in Zimbabwe. All of them are not nationalists. The only nationalists were Dr.Stanley Samukange an Samuriwo. God rest their souls.
Mugabe is a traitor. After the zimbabweans went to war for 20 yrs to get back their land from white settlers, a war that costed a lot of lives, Mugabe actually prevented them from taking land as a prize for war.
He became a protector of of the whites and kept them having land only to command the blacks to take the land after 28yrs only when it suits him.
Few years ago without consultation or a referendum he announced that He was going East. He brought us a new oppressor , his friends, the chinese who have caused more problems than our British oppressors. Tell me what legacy does Mugabe leave behind, Mr Editor?
It’s true the Flag has brought us all our problems. Pastor Mawarire, speak out.
