Mutsvangwa Kicked Out Of Parly

Mutsvangwas-reaction-during-the-attack-from-Mugabe-on-Saturday-Pic-Shepherd-TozvirevaChristoper Mutsvangwa has lost his Norton Parliament seat, after Zanu PF notified the National Assembly of his expulsion from the party.
Mutsvangwa was formally recalled from parliament this Tuesday with the presiding speaker, Cde William Mutomba notifying the house. According to the proclamation from the Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, Parliament has received a notification from Zanu PF that Mutsvangwa no longer represents the party in the National Assembly.
The speaker said he will also notify other relevant authorities and the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) that a vacancy has since arisen in the Norton constituency, thus paving way for a by-election.

Section 129 of the constitution of Zimbabwe states that a National Assembly member’s seat falls vacant if the member ceases to belong to the political party which he or she was a member of when elected to the house.
