Begging Zimbabweans to stop protests…George-Charamba

Desperate to stop the next fiery protests by angry Zimbabweans, the government has sought peace with furious citizens.
The ruling Zanu PF party is cornered and clueless on how to stop Zimbabweans from protesting, after their hoardes of brutal police officers were humiliated by civilians last week.
Protesters led by the MDC-T and other opposition parties took to the streets and are alleged to have set alight ZBC and police vehicles before repeating the rampage on Friday, where they disrupted the Harare Agricultural Show with army officers following behind them to loot and raid various shops in the capital.
Revelations at the weekend showed that opposition parties constitute over 88% of the resident population. That number which leaps beyond 9 million people, is on its own a superior buffer showing that should Robert Mugabe chose to militarily attack them, they would physically defeat the entire army and security forces in minutes with no weaponry. Analysts said even in that case, the army and most police officers would not be willing to assault harmless citizens. See the Sunday LIVE-REPORT videos below:

Speaking in the state media the Presidential Spokesperson, George Charamba desperately attempted at a threat while feebly saying “protesters have crossed the line” and the government will not sit and watch while some citizens are turning Zimbabwe into a war zone.
“Imagine that the agricultural show is time for people to go for fun seeing various exhibitions. Imagine also that we had a VVIP visitor in the form of a Vice President from Sierra Leone and we find some rogue elements setting the capital on fire. That is unacceptable and we won’t allow that to happen again. They have crossed the line, and have got their last chance,” said Charamba.

  1. You indeed are the disgusting idiot. Whats three decades? 30 years is long for your short little memory? You are probably only 15 years old. Thats why 30 is too long ago for you; seeing that everything in life is relative. Grow a brain and a memory too!!

  2. Journalism has gone to the dogs for real. Where in this article is he begging????? ? Iwo ma threats ega ega Aya. Honestly I really wonder which sch did some of these crazy bunch of journalist went to. ..

  3. It’s so disgusting how you call hate speech facts u stupid idiot. Come on get a life Talking abt something that happened 3 decades and a half ago as if it happened yesterday is enuf evidence that you belong to a nut house. Nxaaaa

  4. I dont write hate speech against anyone. I write facts and facts can never be hate speech. I dont like this habit of sweeping things under the carpet just because our suffering has now been equalised. People should learn to stand up and own up, when at some point in time they were wrong, instead of just expecting all of us to forget; unite and move on.
What makes it worse is that despite their current suffering, some of them still hold the same tribalistic views that they were fed with against other races and tribes by Mugabe in the early 1980s, that saw Dr Joshua Nkomo nearly killed before he skipped the border into Botswana and then London. As a nation, we should all learn this “…he ain’t heavy; he is my brother….”.
Mugabe went for the Ndebele; nobody cared; he went for the whites, nobody cared and now he goes for the Shonas – we should all now care – what nonsense is that? There has to be a paradigm shift in attitudes, that talks to the interests and human rights of everyone, not just a section of the population just because they happen to be the majority.
These “I’m alright Jack” attitudes among Zimbabweans should cease – attitudes that say you are fine as long as the dictator is going after others, not you. But tomorrow, the moment he also goes after you; you cry foul and start shouting for unity to dispose of him. That is utter nonsense and selfish. It stinks to the high heavens, if you ask me!!

  5. You are evenly balanced…you have a chip on both shoulders. No, I was born a long time ago and remember exactly what happened. I lost more than you will ever know in those times. But I put all that aside and stand with the people of Zimbabwe. You are right our nation has been destroyed by one man and it was the Jewel of Africa. They are not my “beloved Shonas” they are people like you and me who are coming together to stand for what we know is right. I am neither Shona nor Ndabele. I am a Zimbabwean. So instead of writing hate speech against one tribe stand up and be counted.

  6. The idiot is you, who finds nothing wrong with a people who, for tribal and racist reasons brought us this man, Mugabe who destroyed our nation; the one time Jewel of Africa. You were probably born yesterday.
What your beloved Shonas are doing now is 36 years too late. Its nothing to celebrate or write home about, unless you are ignorant of history. At 92, they might as well leave the old thug in power to die a natural death, given the destruction he has already wrought on our nation – he cant do any worse!! !

  7. You are an idiot. Change your name it just plain horrid. The Shonas have been upright and courageous in all this. I salute you all in Harare.

  12. Who is Charamba to tell people to calm down? What do we care about the Agricultural Show and government attempts to mask the abnormal?
That thief who, together with Cuthbert Dube and others, looted PSMAS? And what power does he think he has when he talks of people crossing
the line? Is it the people or that narrow elite of ZANU PF who crossed
the line by taking the citizens for granted and looting the country with impunity? He should be one of the very last ones to talk – zero credibility.
