The Zimbabwean government has hatched a disaster management plan to ensure that President Robert Mugabe’s highly feared and anticipated departure does not trigger a security crisis.

Weeks before Michael Sata’s death

The secret plot includes a document utilised when former Zambian President  Michael Sata was hit by a deadly ailment and journalists and junior government officials were for several weeks and months kept clueless on the head of state’s condition. This is the way Michael Sata died…. the government kept suppressing the news and short circuiting all manner of inquiry until the day it was finally conceded Sata’s spirit would never return. Less than 3 months before president Sata’s death in October 2014, ZimEye.com exclusively revealed how Zambian officials were busy suppressing secret details on Sata’s impending death, albeit at the same time secretly discussing ways to quietly replace the President – see the Zambian Watchdog report here.
Sources told ZimEye.com securocrats have in their possession strict instructions to ensure that upon Mugabe’s departure no one knows about it for over a week. “This is the only way to honourably handle news about the President,” a source said.
When Mugabe’s colleague, the late President Michael Sata was secretly whisked out of Zambia on the 19th October 2014, it took over 9 days for the government to anmounce his illness and departure on the 29th October.
Sata was finally pronounced dead at London’s King Edward VII hospital on the 29th October 2014.
Weeks later, even the disease that caused his death was kept a secret.
Sata was disliked by his citizens for in particular the draconian way in which he treated protesters raiding, arresting, and brutalising many.
Zimbabweans were on Wednesday night thrown into speculation upon revelations that Mugabe was rushed out of his Swaziland meeting en route to Singapore and the jet was mysteriously forced to make an emergency landing way before the destination. “If it’s a routine check up, why would anyone’s plane make an emergency stop in Dubai?,” asked one forumist on Friday night.
At the time of writing it was not clear where the president is amid a convolution of speculative reports after his spokesman, George Charamba falsely claimed he was not rushed out of Swaziland for treatment.

  1. do you realise that you are your own prisoner ? Read Nelson Mandela books before you die of BP. You need to do something for yourself. Your hate for Shonas is hurting you inside, its gonna eat you out.

  2. how do you expect this to end when you are hating too. Shona hater is an idiot. but Ndebeles belong to Zimbabwe. There was no Zimbabwe before the Ndebeles came, they passed by Shona areas and attacked them and took their belongings with them but didn’t chase them from their land or homes. They continued and settled in no one s land, just like shonas settled from east/central Africa, through Moza and settled in Zimbabwe. . We would rather attack this idiot that attack and misrespresent facts.Most people don’t bother to read Zim historyand learn for themselves, all they do is pick what haters say. I can even tell, that if ancestry DNA can be conducted on Shona hater, he could find that his blood could be 80% Shona. How that’s a story for another day.

  3. its very hard to apologize on behalf of Mugabe. His heart hasn’t changed ,at all he is still killing even up today(Dzamara) , yet you wanna apologize for him , he doesn’t care. For people of matebeleland to keep talking about it, its because they have been ignored on this issue, so the best default therapy to deal with such a tragedy is to keep talking about it. You cant sweep it under the carpet like that, instead uyakwezela ukuni, you could be stirring emotions This whole issue is deeper than most people think.

  4. Fuck you and your education
    You can’t even speak proper English your tone and pronunciation of bottle is sad and you are a shallow mother fucker

  5. Yes we are all Zimbabweans as much as we come from different roots in terms of our social up bring and culture, we should be seen to create divisions in our country that is full of diversity and have been able to provide the best of all to all those who live in it.
    It is sad when and individual goes on a public platform and uses such harsh words and this site allows.
    This makes me wonder you is behind this site.

  6. My Dearest please let’s be reasonable here I’m from the Midlands the of city of Gweru.
    The Nedebele’s ran a monk right through to lower Gweru.
    ZUPCO buses where being set on fire with Shona’s.
    Desidents killing people at will for not being able to speak there language.
    Are you forgetting the Somabola 40 the white farms burnt alive at the cold house which still stand as proof.
    Lastly the killing railway worker’s putting up the electric lines for the new trains.
    Hence today electric trains end in Gweru.
    My family are both Nedebele and Shona and in a better position to speak as I have no side and hence I say I’m Zimbabwean and I’m not tribal.

  7. Wena are you for getting what they did.
    I’m from the Midlands government had to intervene these bandits where killing people.
    You forgetting what these fuckers did,they should not play the victim card.

  8. Sata was loved a lot, and is dearly missed by most Zambians. What you have written about Sata is not accurate. The Zambian Watchdog is just a frustrated news media and most of the times reports only the negative side of stories.

  9. Mashamba is not Karanga. Its Shangaan/Tsonga. Ask anyone in Limpopo Province in South Africa. You can go to Giyani too, they will tell you the same!!

  10. All that you have written about Zambian citizens disliking Sata is false news. Which Zambians are you getting this news from? What protest against? What brutal arrests?? Really? Common on

  11. My my my – can you even dare to compare this once in a life short sentence to the paragraphs and paragraphs of Gukurahundi that dominate these international fora? Give me a break. Anyways; its Setswana, not Sotho!

  12. I hear you. But it looks like you didn’t understand me or where I am coming from.
    I was responding to your contribution above where you stated thus in response to SHONA HATER’s contribution: “Its very unfortunate that you hate all shonas for what one man’s atrocities.”
    I am saying likewise, uMthwakazi feels the same regarding their treatment in Zimbabwe since Mugabe came to power in 1980. They have been accused of atrocities against the Shona in the so-called 1800s tribal wars, yet none of them ever participated in those wars.
    Now instead of attacking uMthwakazi for reacting the way they are doing; why not start from there? Start by stopping the cultural, economic and political onslaught against them, that is premised on righting the wrongs that they are accused of having committed in the tribal wars – yet they were not around in the 1800s.
    Had it this been coming from only the ruling ZANU PF regime and their Mugabe; one would understand. But the problem is that, it seems to be a shared belief by a significant majority within the ranks of the Shona people. That is very troublesome and is no basis for nation building. No Shona people ever debate or argue with someone from Matebeleland over the issues of tribe or tribalism, without them referring to the tribal wars era – why, if I may ask?
    So, it means what has been happening and is happening to Matebeleland – the now entrenched tribal domination; refusing to learn local languages; the taking of local jobs; the insults etc, etc – it means that is all about revenge for those wars? When will it all end?
    I mean- one would have thought they got all they wanted – their pound of flesh as it were, through the Gukurahundi killings – so what more do they want? Mthwakazi is just reacting. They are not initiating anything. They are simply fed up.
    That is why some are talking of secession; yet they don’t really want secession. If they did; they would have fought for it during the liberation struggle when they had all the weapons!!

  13. Like i said when repliyng the Royal Mtwakazi never mind what the debators on this forum say, you could be surprised that some are just haters of unity!!who are only trying to devide us. Be very careful of infiltrators who are there to cause trouble and anguish to you. Ignore statements from such a person or pray for them.

  14. If we want to habour what happened during the 1800,s we will never have peace in our country mntanam. Im a karannga born and bred ko bulawayo it really hurts when i see or hear about izikwili. If i tell you the truth people in Harare were kept in the dark about the killing which was carried by the gukurahundi. I had an opportunity to hear the whole of the strocities that were done during the gukutahundi era by me visiting Bulawayo during my stay in Harare. Lingadlali nge zanu ngababulali abacatshileyo!! Also i news blackout they know how to oparate it. Now because of the sosial media things have greatley improved. Sibantu banye mntanam,let us bury the hatchet sikhumisane umlotha and move on. God loves everyone in Zimbabwe he is our protector.izikwili zenzwa ngabanga khowliyo kusomandla mntanam. Its not that you young ones our future leaders will not expose the atrcities that were done by the mugabe regime. I hope and trust that they will have the truth and reconciliation commission where ingangi zonke zizamiswa pambili kwe dhale zi confese. Let,s move on and pray for peace in our land and remove the perpetrators of crimes against humanity.yhen we shall see what happens when you g bloods take over and pray for democracy,freedom of speech and accepting critisism.we can overcome our problems through that. I hope this is satisfactory to you.God bless you.wena wako MTWAKAZI ZULU KA NDABA!

  15. Whatchu gon do about in man you always yip-yap shona this shona that so what..!!.what are you gon change..whats done its done..i think mugabe did a good thing by slaying ndebeles…i can see you so brainless..

  16. I am sure, if some of the Shona people stopped these old cattle and women stories; and their never ending 200 years old ” go back to Zululand” mantras; that have been buttressed by Mugabe’s tribal politics since 1980, of ” tinotonge, tirivazhinji, you are a minority, Ngomo’s country, my Country; Ngomo zidhumbu, zimuNdevere mantras” etc – we will all be on our way to real national unity in this country. It all starts from there – the majority. The minority are simply reacting to the dominant Shona narrative that says “Zimbabwe ndeya maShona”; which in most cases is subtle and not that verbally pronounced!!

  17. I see the whole modern Ndebele community generically so defined to include Khalangas, Venda, Xhosa, Sotho, Shangaan, Tswana, Nambya and Tongas living in Matebeleland are being accused by the Shona of having killed the Shonas and stolen their cattle in the tribal wars of the 1800s. I never knew that people who were alive in 1800s are still alive even today in 2016 – what do you say about that?
    This is quite strange indeed because some of these modern Ndebele people’s ancestors were also victims in those wars. Please explain!

  18. Noticed VP Mnangagwa is still Acting President, but always thought established protocol required the Acting President alternated every time President Mugabe arrived and left the country?
    Since President Mugabe made a brief few hour stopover in Harare on his way to Dubai from Swaziland, how come VP Mphoko hasn’t assumed the title, or can we infer President Mugabe thinks only VP Mnangagwa has the required qualities and experience to deal with the burning situation at home in his absence, or perhaps Mugabe was in no condition to authorise the change-over?

  19. Used to say in zimbabwe there is no mndebele shona kalanga nanzwa we are all zimbabweans we belong to one nation.so please thobi” nhliziyo yakho mntanam ungangenwa ngumoya wokubulala amashona kayisibo wonke amashona ababulala abantu. Lets pull together as a nation masidhonse kanye kanye sijabula sonke umsebezi wami ngowako ngowethu ngowe Nkosi uJesu Ckristo.

  20. Its very unfortunate that you hate all shonas for what one man’s atrocities.in ndebele they say “zonelwa mvu nye” its if sheep does a mistake,its all blamed on the whole flock. Let us avoid a genocide like in Rwanda between the Hutus and the Tutsis. I remember when the late Jashua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo was alive he

  21. KIKIKIKIKI LOL. Evil Shonas brothers and sisters? How funny. O kare o batla nyoana wena. Ke a go bona!!

  22. Guys this Shona HATER is fack. He is not even Ndebele, ufuna ukuthi thina sizondane lama Shona. Mina I am Ndebele, Shonas are my brothers and sisters and I mean every word of it.
    Ngiqinisile

  23. No man. There are even much more differences between the Gukurahundi and Ian Douglas Smith; not just colour:
    1. Ian travelled to his Miton Buildings Prime Minister Offices without the whole band of vehicles and motor bike outriders that the Gukurahundi loves;
    2. Ian drove himself to work;
    3. Ian drove a very old almost ramshackle British model of a car;
    4. Ian never stole from the public purse;
    5. Ian was under international UN sanctions, whilst the Gukurahundi is under targeted sanctions from a few Western countries, not the whole world;
    6 Ian only traded with South Africa whilst the Gukurahundi still trades with the very same countries that have imposed sanctions on him;
    7. Ian hardly travelled abroad and was always at home;
    8. Ian loved rugby and was always down Mzansi on weekends to enjoy himself;
    9. Ian was a real farmer who turned a whole bush in Selukwe into a thriving cattle ranching farm;
    10. Ian trained as a pilot, not some useless English teacher;
    11. Ian actually fought a real war and was rescued in the desert after his fighter plane fell from the skies;
    12. Ian lost an eye in that accident; the Gukurahundi has had it so good all his life; stealing liberation glory in the closing years of the struggle from those who really fought and led African nationalism;
    13. Ian ran a real economy that worked despite real international sanctions; was innovative with import substitution that developed industries that we could all see and talk about;
    14. Ian did not have or like hero worshippers. Nobody ever knelt before him or his wife;
    15. Ian Smith developed Rhodesia into the Jewel of Africa; the Gukurahundi made Zimbabwe Ruins;
    16. Ian built the most enviable and most internationally acclaimed and admired education system; which produced even some of the best educated African people compared to the rest of the African Continent, despite the racism. The Gukurahundi has produced people who cant even string a few proper, grammatically correct English sentences, despite the English language being the main language of teaching in his schools; and
    17. The long and short of it is this: Ian Smith was useful. The Gukurahundi is useless!!
    I CAN GO ON AND ON!!

  24. There is nothing to speculate about. You can not defy age, even if you are in power, you can not use soldiers and CIO to defend your age. This is where the ZANU PF thugs also demonstrate that they are running away from thinking. I would not like to speculate, but by way of probability, Mugabe is heading home. He is very old and he has been overused when he thought he was using others. If he had retired, he would possibly be in a better shape. He made the mistake of his life by getting Grace Marujata as a wife. Time will tell.

  25. Taurai chiShona anonzwa Shona Hater ,akaidzidza kuBulawayo nekuti it was compulsory there

  29. I still don’t get it when ppl entertain the scum called Shona hater/shondo. And also confuse issues. Mthwakazi is a reality, and its not a dream. Shona hater go to hell with your saveza/shondo. Ýou are an idiot like everyone that entertains you. Tribalistic and No better than Mgabe. You are worse than Gukurahundi. They were commandeered and you act alone. There is no running away from the fact that their bespectacled, dark skinned-like-midnight, two-legged, ugly, short, evil, murderous, satanic, diaborossi, vampirish, two-legged 92-year old Shona Gukurahundi creature they call a President is about to die. 10 years is the most he can expect to live from now. Eish; I hate Shonas bathoo!!
