By Staff Reporter| The top cop involved in the Baba Jukwa scandal, Crispen Makedenge has received special protection from the force following a ZimEye news article which exposes his plan to shoot and kill activists blamed for last week’s protests.

The police in a Monday press statement admitted the ZimEye article was a leak from internal sources. They even went further to threaten with expulsion the cops who leaked the story.
“No amount of propaganda will make police officers turn away from their constitutional obligations. Whoever feels otherwise is free to leave the ZRP,” said spokesperson Chief Supt Paul Nyathi.

Chrispen Makedenge, who takes on cases of murderous notoriety and ZANU PF underhand dealings, is known for his secret involvement in the Baba Jukwa scandal for which he moved to personally delete damning Baba Jukwa emails after seizing the account from the army in 2014. That development saw him being humiliated and former Sunday Mail editor Edmund Kudzayi vindicated.

Announcing yesterday, Paul Nyathi moved to protect Makedenge. He dismissed the ZimEye story revealing that Makedenge has ordered officers to shoot and kill MDC-T leaders involved in the demonstrations on Friday.
He opened a can of worms, while falsely claiming that the ZRP does not shoot and kill protesters.

“We want to dismiss the story with the contempt it deserves as the ZRP, unlike other law enforcement agencies in other countries, who use firearms to shoot people during demonstrations, does not use firearms to deal with unruly elements,” he said.
But ZRP cops are guilty of killing many MDC supporters including Mr. Gift Tandare who was assassinated in cold blood at a prayer meeting in Harare.

ZimEye.com can also reveal that on the same day and as Nyathi was speaking, heavy bullet loaded, ready to shoot cops were descending onto a mine in Mutorashanga to crush protesting workers there. Some of them were caught on camera by ZimEye. SEE PICTURES (story continues below):

But Nyathi continued saying, “this mischievous story is meant to divide security forces who, for your information, closely work together to protect the internal and external territorial integrity of Zimbabwe”.
Meanwhile thousands of army and police officers were in a state of deep discontentment with the government over the attacks on innocent civilians. During a LIVE REPORT program it was revealed that should the shoot to kill abuse continue, ZANU PF would be outnumbered and overpowered by the MDC due to Robert Mugabe’s diminishing stranglehold on power.
