Nigerian Spiritist and Necromancer, TB Joshua, utilised (with an array of cheap materials- see court report), wobbly sticks as scaffolding material for the 5 storey giant building which collapsed killing 116 people including (2) two Zimbabweans. The court verdict that ruled that Joshua is criminally liable lists the following as what exactly made the building fall down:
- Inadequate beams of 750mm by 225mm (should have been 900mm by 300mm)
- Inadequately reinforced columns (should have been reinforced with 12 x Y25 bars or 20 x Y20mm bars. Instead they used 10 x Y20 bars (as seen in the video released by SCOAN).
- Inadequate bearing pressure for the central column due to the 2m x 2m x 0.9m foundations.
- Failure to introduce rigid zones for bracing the structure and did not design the frames as an unbraced structure.
- Failure to provide movement joints that could have absorbed any movement due to creep, contraction, expansion and differential settlement etc..
- 8 out of the 12 main beams of the structure failed because they were undersized, under-reinforced (both in tension and shear), the tension bars were poorly anchored to the column supports and 8 x Y20 was used instead of 14 x Y20.
- The ground floor columns were slender and readily gave in to buckling.
Shocking pictures and video footage released by the multi-millionaire TB Joshua ( who also claims that Zimbabwe’s economy is going to boom in 2016), show the massive building mould supported at the side by thistles minutes before it crashed down on September 12th 2014. He soon changed blaming the Nigerian army saying an aeroplane flying at a distance nearby sent forth supersonic waves to destroy it.
Scaffolding, also called scaffold or staging, is a professional temporary structure used to support a work crew and materials to aid in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings. Scaffolding is also used in adapted forms for formwork and shoring, grandstand seating, concert stages, access/viewing towers, exhibition stands, ski ramps, and half pipes.
Since the court procedures opened soon after the building collapse in 2014, the preacher has been using a team of cunning lawyers to divert and delay the prosecution.
To make matters worse, while victims remained buried in the dangerous rubble shortly after the collapse, his staff members delayed the rescue process as they beat up rescuers and journalists. The preacher soon exposed himself a few hours later when he was caught on camera personally dishing out thousands of dollars to the journalists while apologizing.

Judges must make fair Judgments regardless of the person’s social status.

This is not the reporter’s findings. These are findings by the court and the issue was before the courts. TB Joshua and his other spiritual sons Makandiwa, Magaya etc are just fulfilling the bible. FALSE prophets!!!!

Articles like this show how much of a rubbish site ZimEye is. They’re always trying to use TB Joshua’s name to get traffic to their site. Using bamboo for scaffolding is common practice. Scaffolding is scaffolding not construction material. Why should you try to bring up false news just to try tarnish a good man’s image and get readers? All of the accusations made in this article have been refuted over and over again through the years. Why don’t you write a correct article on the man of God using facts and evidence instead of gossip and propaganda?
