Found dead…Dumisani Sibanda

Staff Reporter|Prominent journalist and former Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) President, Dumisani Sibanda has died.
According to information being circulated through social media, Sibanda was found lifeless at his Bulawayo home this morning. Details on what could have caused his death had not been ascertained at the time of going to press. No foul play was suspected at the time of writing.
Sibanda joined Bulawayo based The Chronicle newspaper in 1994 as a junior journalist graduate from Harare Polytechnic. He rose through the ranks to become subeditor at The Sunday News a sister publication to The Chronicle.
In his journalism life he also worked for the Newsday as a subeditor in the Bulawayo office. He also worked as a correspondent with several other national newspapers.
At the time of his untimely death, Sibanda was a freelance journalist and Sunday News columnist.
