A disturbing video of two young boys being ordered into violence by police officers at a police station has gone viral.
The video kicks off with the two boys accused of shoplifting under an order to sing and dance admitting to be thieves and promising never to steal again.
After the singing and dance, the boys are ordered by a police officer to start clapping each other. As they clap each other another police officer keeps ordering them to clap each other harder. CLICK HERE TO WATCH
The two boys probably aged about 10 and 14 brutally attack each other under instruction to clap hard. The younger one keeps falling down at every clap from the older one.
The officer ordering them to clap each other continues to raise instructions that the boys must clap each other so hard so to make each other fall over. There is an audible background of cheering and laughing at every clap cast on each other.
The younger boy naturally fails to drop the bigger one with his claps and everytime he fails the older one is ordered to hit him back harder to show him how it’s done.
Several people who saw the video this week condemned the brutality by the police on the boys. Social media responses to the police action are calling on police authorities to investigate the incident and bring the officers concerned to book.
The national constitution strongly condemns corporal punishment on any offenders particularly children and minors.
At the time of writing ZimEye.com was still trying to establish the police station where the incident took place. It is suspected to be somewhere in Matabeleland as the boys spoke IsiNdebele. DO YOU KNOW THE POLICE STATION AND THE OFFICERS INVOLVED?

Dear Editor, the term is slapping not clapping. Clapping is when you celebrate by putting two hands together.
On another note, the police should be identified, prosecuted and kicked off the police force. Mabhurakwacha.
