“The ghost of Cecil John Rhodes has risen from the dead,” – The Zimbabwe Labour centre board member Munyaradzi Gwisai has called for workers to fight in protest in order to be heard. Gwisai said the Chidyausiku Labour Judgement that allows employers to fire workers at any time without severance pay is more colonial than old Rhodesian labour laws.
He has called for mass protests countrywide so that the courts and President Robert Mugabe will listen.

  4. Workers must wake up and reject political parties that claim to represent their interests yet they dine and wine with the exploiters. It should be the working class that should protest not only those who are still “employed”. The High Court ruling protects the rulers mostly from the ruling party who are now the oppressors and exploiters but continue calling themselves comrades of the very very poor. Come on you the progressive intelligentsia who have nothing to protect since you are equally miserably poor. Educate the misguided who still believe in philosophies of darkness self such as tribalism and other hallucinations. Let us expose the vanity of the politics of patronage. Let us emancipate ourselves from this brutal trend of worshiping individuals who do not even know that Zesa cuts electricity.
