Bulawayo- Plans by political parties to form a coalition to remove long time ruler Robert Mugabe, hit a snag Saturday when the MDC led by Industry and Commerce Minister Professor Welshman Ncube dismissed them.
Ncube’s MDC formation dismissed the reports stating a possible coalition with the Morgan Tsvangirai led MDC formation as “wishfull thinking “.
Before this time, speculation had been rife that Ncube’s MDC party would unite with Morgan Tsvangirai’s formation under the latter’s name together with Mavambo Kusile Dawn and MDC-99.

Welshman Ncube led MDC

“As a party we are not hunting for political partners to fight Zanu pf,the issue of a grand coalition could be a good idea but not easily achievable because we tried it with the MDC-T in 2008 but they refused,”said Mushoriwa who is also a former member of parlianent for Dzivaresekwa constituency under a united MDC ticket.
He described speculation by some sections of the media about a possible coalition as nothing but wishfull thinking.
Mushoriwa said his party will stand by its congress resolution to invade every village and every corner of Zimbabwe in preparation for elections.
“However the MDC doors are still open for serious political parties who believe in collective action towards the creation of a just and fair Zimbabwe,”he said.
A founder member of the united MDC Senator David Coltart who is currently the Legal and Constitutional affairs secretary in the MDC led by Professor Welshman Ncube was widely quoted in the media saying there is need for unity “to fight a common enemy”.
Coltart who is also minister of education arts sport and culture said”we should strive to agree on an electoral pact so that we do not split the vote as happened in 2008.”
The MDC led by prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai has since announced that it will soon embark on the controversial candidate verification exercise instead of holding primary elections.

  1. Mzwangendaba please dont feed divisive imaginations out of your obvious tribal hatred. You dont even know how negotiations at Lancaster were framed. Its imoral to fan rabid tribal hatred in public media.

  2. You are hundred percent right Chirumhanzu, but with useless people like Mukadoti,Greydog,Blanja and Shariyanja it becomes difficult to engage in real issues because they are always expressing their rotten views.

  3. For all along, I thought these social platforms encourages robust debate but alas, its all about name-tags. when are we as a people going to debate real issues affecting out country or matters that raises the bar for our nation? Please, if we are responsible citizens to leave a legacy, lets debate not to scold one another. If its politics, lets come up with an issue, social matters, etc. That way who ever is in charge of that particular department would learn, etc. Ok, here is a political topic for debate: WHICH PARTY DO YOU THINK WILL WIN THE COMING ELECTIONS IN ZIMBABWE AND WHY?

  4. Wena Mukadoti,i think you a eNgutsheni patient, you are not normal at all. from today on i wont respond to any of your stupid views.

  5. Umthiki Umtholo umthoko uthwasha mthwakazi wena uthiliqo ngetholo nqaliso umzeke zeke zeka wena sonke……………..hwaaaaahwaaaaahwaaahwaaa …..nyakuzeka mina….kikikikikki umthili utholo umdiddy.

  6. mdt is a carbon copy of zanu pf,Morgan Tsvangirai is more dangerous than Robert Mugabe.Welshman Ncube is the hot favourite to win the elections.

  7. Whats the difference between zantu and mdc-t? They are both driven by their common cultural greed for power, no policies whatsoever! At the lancaster house negotiations, zanu was saying one thing during the day, and another during the night behind zapu’s back in secret meetings with the british. The british were protecting their commercial interest from the soviet backed zapu. And besides, talking of tribalistic parties, who used the tribal trump card to get into power in 1980? Zanu and magareth thatcher! No more alliances with the sh.on.a leaders please. Backstabbers par excellence!

  8. Ha ha ha ha Jumpdaki when you mean us, do you mean yourself and your mother who disowned you or do you mean yourself and the village politician? Let the village politician start pandering your wet dream ideology of Mattayakazi sheet to a sober and right thinking electorate and he would wish he lived in the days of Lobengula.

  9. Kikiki Mukadota you surprise me. Look we do not want to be part of Zimbagwe anymore but you try to force us to belong to it. Wesh does not want any alliance with you because you are sly but still you want to force him. Please keep your 99% and let Welsh keep his 1%. John Moyo you are sick, very sick. There is no common enemy but common enemies for Mthwakazi people. You think we do not see how you savage are united through maginalisation of our people?

  10. Bla Miki you have nothing fruitful to discuss with wise people so you and your Zanu PF keep your mouths shut coz your days in office are numbered.

  11. Asingade anenge asingade uyo.asingade anenge asingade kikiki zvarwadzaka mdshit needs welsh more than he needs them.zuva richabuda chete muzimbabwe simba kuvanhu.

  12. Zanu pf is already in coalition with MDC Ncube so noone wants to reengage zanu pf. MDC T will have a landslide victory no need to crack our heads on this.

  13. That’s what your fart brain thinks, you just have to admit it that zanoid worshippers like yourself must be scared stiff of what might happen in 2013. You nolonger have nothing to about your occult party: you can’t gather people for a meeting unless you beat them or threaten to rape them, every time MDC has a peace rally you use your militia, electing an 89 year old as your best candidate says a lot about why your DCC structures are none existent. If we wanted a coalition pact we would have done so

  14. Mukadog and your small company, tell me, why are you so much worried about having a pact with Prof Welsh? There are several parties willing to join hands with your MDC T, why not consider them? Think of Job Sikhala, Simba Makoni, DD, Paul Siwela, Mutumwa Mawere and many others and more importantly, why don’t you make peace with Roy Benett and leave Prof Ncube in his M’thwakazi dream? Mukadog, any comment regarding the issue of primary elections? Is this the other side of your JUICE? Happy New Year!

  15. Welshman Ncube’s MDC is a Zanu PF project and talking of a coalition between this zanu pf project with the massive MDC T is not possible. Ncube is Zanu pf like jonathan moyo noone would expect such turn-coats to join The Movement for Democratic Change’s Morgan. Ordinary people will certainly move away from that zanu pf project MDC Ncube.

  16. @john moyo, why worry about 1per cent, mdc t will get the 99per cent, viva welshman, viva.the reason you are worried is that in your deeper chambers, that he is worth more than that.its very simple you know it,mdct know it,welshman know it and l know it,welshman has done his homework, love or hate him he will bag 30 per cent of the vote.that leaves the two tsvangskirt and bob with 70per cent to fight for.and lets be honest zanu is far from being out.2008 zanu white washed mdct in mash west,no single seat for tsvangi, what have they done to woo the voters there mdct none, organise a mini rally at bobs house invite and bribe journos and a small the media is awash with violence, international media its a good pr for fundraising but not the voting goons of mash west, central and uzumba maramba kufunga.so they need you welsh to make the country governable take your time, dont be hoodwinked even they become more stuborn its ok age is on your more elections will come, the other one will be dead the other will be frustrated to the marrow.mdct will rather co-operate with zanu because you ndebele so be it,in the gnu morgan is openingly siding with bob,its ok bro, they dont need you, viva welsh viva

  17. Zato cum 2013 u wil just find yoself going places, running to and fro like vana Mpiranya.Chinenge chabvondoka.

  18. The problem is that this Ncube guy would like to negotiate for a 50:50 portion of the cake with MDC T yet he presently only enjoysless that 1% support in the country.

  19. Hii vana Mushoriwa kutomisawo tumatundundu kani. You are forgetting what happened in 2008when you contested the Dzivaresekwa constituency? Do you really really think this time around you might pick something? Nyatsodyayi munyerere mari dzengoda dzamuri kupiwa ne ZANU pf kuti mukangahise zvinhu. Muri mboko mhani ‘Nxaa’

  20. Bla Miki if that’s the wet dream you have about MDC democracy then its by far much better than the rubber stamping wives Mugabe has turned you into. How many times has the coffin dodger been calling for elections since 2009 with or without the constitution? Answer, many times just grandstanding as usual zanoo pee eff is a goner. Just hanging on the last chance saloon with sheer and disgraceful desperation.

  21. Zanupf chiparty chema zufurandi, chembere dzofanzirofa, harahwa, corrupt, incompetent and expired (use by 31 december 2012) leadership

  22. Ki ki ki ki ki ki, Mukadog, only in your dreams shall the learned Prof join hands with a dull and confused ugly beast in the mould of Tsvangiskirt, whose notable achievements are selling out, bed hopping, sanctions and a perennial fool.

  23. Common sense will tell you that the reasons which led to the first split of the sellout party remains the major obstacle for unity. The sellouts are all power hungry and have themselves only ahead of national interest. Imagine in a coalition, Tsvangirai will be deputized by Prof Ncube and Dr Makoni thereby demoting Khupe. Dabengwa, Mtambara, Sikhala, Benett, Dzikamunhenga, Siwela, Tapa, Mawere will be joined by presure group leaders like John Makumbe, Madhuku, Jestina Mukoko and many others to form the cabinet. The question is, will the likes of Chamisa, Moyo, Makone, Priscilla and many others remain in cabinet? Will Biti retain his portfolio as Finance Minister? What will become of the succession debate between Biti and Tsvangirai? Hazvishande izvi, this is M’thwakazi part two.

  24. There goes the zanoo pee eff stooge again nobody will even dare touch this stinking retard with a sewage pole. The guy is a lunatic as usual bleating about broad people based parties wanting to unite with a tribal based groupie. His way of finding relevance shows how dull this clownish professor is especially when most of his properly elected MPs are jumping ship. Come election time this kunt won’t be relevant.
