By Paul Nyathi| Former Mines and Mining Development Minister Walter Chidhakwa was arrested on Monday and spent the night at Harare Central Police cells, ZimEye.com can reveal.
Sources indicated that the former Minister who is a close relative to former President Robert Mugabe was arrested for defying a court order which was granted against him when he was still the Minister.
Details provided to ZimEye.com on the charges were not clear but the former Minister is due to appear at the Gweru magistrates court today.
Chidhakwa is still on bail on another case of corruption and abuse of office raised against him by the Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission. He was arrested in December for the offence.
