By Staff Reporter| In  major setback against her, the High Court has ordered MDC Deputy President Thokozani Khupe to leave her office at the party headquarters.

The verdict was passed by Justice Maxwell Yakima who ordered her to vacate the party Stand 41A, Fort Street, between 1st and 2nd Avenue and surrender the same to (the party’s) Bulawayo Provincial Chairman Gift Banda.

In granting the writ of mandamus (spoliation order), Justice Yakima ruled that Banda was the “highest ranking official” in the province with full loci standi in judicio to sue for recovery of the premises. The judge also noted that Banda had “been in peaceful and undisturbed possession and occupation of the MDC-T Bulawayo Provincial offices.”

The development was hailed by her nemeses who exclaimed saying, “the High Court of Zimbabwe, sitting in Bulawayo today, the 16th of March 2018 has granted order of immediate eviction of Khupe cabal from the said authentic provincial offices.

“We are excited and applaud due process applied therein. We have been vindicated that the cabal has no legal bases to violently invade our offices. We appeal to our membership to follow due processes and retrain themselves when provoked by the same.

“We as MDC T party are none violent and adhere to legal and due processes by the competent Courts as it should,” the provincial spokesman FM Sibanda announced.
