Former Zanu Pf heavyweight, Didymus Mutasa, who was booted out of Zanu PF in 2014 alongside former Vice-President Joice Mujuru and over 100 other top officials on allegations of plotting to topple former President Robert Mugabe from power will this weekend have his property auctioned over failure to pay $26 900 Nyakutombwa Mugabe Legal Counsel legal fees.

A default judgment issued by the High Court resulted in Mutasa’s property being attached by the Sheriff and the former Zanu Pf heavyweight will on Saturday lose household goods including a fridge, a set of sofas and television among others.

Below is the notice advertising the public auction of Mutasa’ s property which appeared in a local publication.

Mutasa, who was Zimbabwe’s first Speaker of the National Assembly, before holding many Cabinet posts before he was fired from Zanu PF has hit hard times as he is struggling to send his children to school and servicing huge debts including a ZESA bill  amounting US$70 000.
