The leader of the Zimbabwe Chiefs Council Fortune Charumbira has said all corrupt and underperforming traditional leaders will be fired.

Ironically Charumbira is accused of using his political influence to cling to the Charumbira Chieftainship.

Charumbira also publicly disclosed his allegiance to Zanu PF.

Speaking in an interview with a Masvingo based community radio station yesterday, Charumbira said the Chiefs Council was determined to eradicate corruption among traditional leaders.

“We have put in place strategic measures to eradicate corruption among traditional leaders.

We have received countless reports about corruption and we will not just fold our arms,” said Charumbira.

“We will work with several stakeholders to combat corruption,” he added.
