MDC Alliance Presidential candidate, Nelson Chamisa has urged his supporters to desist from misogynistic attacks on Zimbabwe Electoral Commission(ZEC) Chairperson Priscilla Chigumba.

Chigumba has been subjected to relentless attacks from angry opposition supporters who accuse her of conniving with ruling party officials to rig the July 30 polls.

Speaking at a news conference in Harare today, Chamisa described the infringement of Chigumba’s private life as unwelcome.

“We are only concerned with her omissions and commissions in the boardroom, not in the bedroom,” said Chamisa.

He also urged his supporters not to make misogynistic attacks on Chigumba and other women.
