By Own Correspondent| Former President Robert Mugabe has hinted his preferred Presidential candidate out of the 23 contesting the forthcoming polls set for tomorrow arguing that he will never vote for Zanu Pf because it is being led by those who persecuted him.
Speaking at his blue roof mansion in Harare Sunday afternoon, a visibly bitter Mugabe told over 100 local and international journalists that the Zanu Pf presidential aspirant Emmerson Mnangagwa did not have his vote because he had removed him illegally from power.
“I was going to resign at the party’s elective congress and hand over power to someone else…..and that preferred candidate was Sydney Sekeramayi.
There are 23 candidates and people ask me, what is your choice but no one has said what is not your choice.
I cannot vote for those who have tormented me. Looking at all of them, I have worked with Mai Mujuru, I have worked with Thokozani Khupe…..I do not see what they have to offer.
I have not met Nelson Chamisa but I have worked with his predecessor, Morgan Tsvangirai.
He (Chamisa) seems to be doing well. I hope the voting which will be done tomorrow…will reform, throw away this military form of government and bring us back to constitutionality.”
