MDC aspiring MP for Mberengwa North, Dr Takavafira Zhou has alleged there is massive rigging in the constituency.

Below is his statement:
A ZEC official known as Mutsikiwa is moving from station to station in Mberengwa North giving what he calls an exclusion list.

Such people do not have photos and cannot be verified as authentic, let alone be considered as a voters’ roll.

This is the latest rigging method as it is meant to accommodate a number of people of no fixed abode (makorokosa) in Mberengwa North. Worse still Zec has not even bothered to engage MDC- Alliance on this latest move. We urge our agents to reject such lists and report such machinations to us. We cannot accept this day light robbery.

We understand several polling stations in the resettlement areas of Mberengwa North have received the exclusion list. We are forwarding this latest rigging method to the party and observers.

Until the legality of these exclusion lists is confirmed we will not accept it and our agents must take note of such cases.
