Own Correspondent|AN ENTIRE RAIL LINE was today destroyed when a haulage truck driver collided with a train in Beitbridge.

The accident which happened late Sunday afternoon saw the train rip off the truck’s two trailers from the horse which had just made it past the rail crossing saving the driver’s life.

The train dragged the trailers for over two hundred meters before derailing and uprooting the railway line along the way.

Speaking to ZimEye.com in a short interview the driver claimed that his breaks failed.

The train driver and his crew survived but were ferried to Beitbridge hospital for medical attention.
