Govt Hunts For Ashirai Mawere Who Was Filmed Attempting To Invade An Avocado Farm

Jane Mlambo| Government has appealed for information on the circulating video in which a Zanu PF Youth Ashirai Mawere who was filmed attempting to invade a farm in Chipinge recently.

Ashirayi Mawere is the same who has represented his uncle, the businessman, Mutumwa Mawere as they ran a party that worked to sabotage the MDC party in the 2013 elections.

According to the information ministry Twitter handle, government policy on the need for normalcy on farms still stands.

Ashirai Mawere, the one filmed demanding the farmer to vacate the land was once a member of Mutumwa Mawere’s UDM party which has since collapsed. Mawere has also attempted to contest for Chipinge Central parliamentary seat under Zanu-PF and failed.

He was also the leader of a Zanu PF youths team that stole money from unsuspecting people in Chipinge under a housing project that was spearheaded by former G40 kingpins Kudzanayi Chipanga and Mubuso Chinguno.
