MDC Congress on course: Party programmes to continue as scheduled
Following the highly political judgement.

The ruling is essentially meant to destabilize the party.

This memo serves to inform all structures that all party programmes and activities are continuing as scheduled.

Our Congress is on course. Now that we have finished all preliminary congresses by democratically electing new leaderships up to the provincial level, we must brace for the ultimate national Congress in Gweru from 24-26 May 2019.

In the meantime, the thematic outreaches and provincial assembly campaign caucuses must proceed as scheduled.

The courts will not give us a leader. We are going to democratically elect our national leadership at our Congress in Gweru. No political judgement will side-track us from our scheduled activities.

The party remains solid and firm under the leadership of President Nelson Chamisa, who was overwhelmingly elected by all the party’s 13 provinces.
