Woes Mount For ED As Teachers Threaten To Withdraw Services During Exams
10 October 2019
By A Correspondent- The Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) has pushed President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government into a tight corner after saying teachers will withdraw labour on the 14th of October unless the government increases their salaries.
Writing on their Twitter handle, teachers said:
“We don’t have to risk the integrity of national examinations by deploying hungry and angry teachers as invigilators. Withdrawing labour on 14 October is in the best interest of our education sector.”
