By A Correspondent- Vurayayi Denga (28) from Mukhachana Village under Chief Chitanga in Mwenezi has been remanded in custody for allegedly rap_ing his 12-year-old sister-in-law.

Denga allegedly took advantage of his wife’s absence.

He was left with the sister-in-law and two other toddlers. He allegedly grabbed the girl from behind and carried her to his bedroom.

He laid the girl on a blanket which was on the floor and lifted up her skirt then inserted his erect pen_is into the young girl’s privates.

The perpetrator threatened to beat up the girl if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The girl however, told her sister and the matter was reported to the Police
