Khupe Condemns Torture Of MDC Alliance Youth Leaders

MDC-T President Dr Thokozani Khupe has condemned the abuse and torture of three MDC Alliance youth leaders Joana Mamombe, Cecelia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova saying law enforcement agents should desist from using force on unarmed civilians.

Posting on Twitter, Khupe said; “The movement for Democratic Change(MDC-T) condemns the abuse and torture of civilians. We challenge the law enforcement agencies to desist from using any form of force on unarmed civilians when discharging their duties and call upon the authorities to conduct a full investigation.”

However, Khupe received insults from social media users who accusing her of going to bed with the people behind the torture of the three innocent ladies.

Tino Mabwe accused Khupe of faking his condemnation.

“You are faking it. You can’t even say their names. This is just a blanket statement with no emotions in it,” she said.

Another user by the name Ndombolo tweeted, “Iwe you are part and parcel of the abuse of these comrades. Since you joined ZanuPF with your brothers Mwonzora and Komichi. Blood on your https://t.co/SSgEx4VUZT a woman how come you speak out against the junta after every Tom and Jerry have. Where were you? Sharing the loot.”

Jabulani rushed to Khupe’s defence accusing those who were insulting her of confusion.

“She keeps quite you complain, when she issues a statement you complain again. What is it that you people want.???,” tweeted Jabulani.
