MDC Alliance Youth Assembly Chitungwiza North Secretary, Tryvine “Sox” Musokeri has been arrested. He is currently at Harare Central Police’s Law and Order Section.

Sox as he is commonly known is being accused of threatening one Yvonne Musarurwa from Thokozani Khupe renegades on Facebook.

He was accompanied to the police station by his lawyer and party’s National Vice Chairperson, Hon Job Sikhala.

Sox’s arrest add to a high number of MDC Alliance Youth Assembly activists who have been rounded up by the police in a blitzkrieg aimed at silencing the opposition.

As MDC Alliance Youth Assembly, we demand for the unconditional release of all political prisoners including our 3 female comrades Cecilia Chimbiri, Netsai Marova and Joanna Mamombe who are currently languishing at Chikurubi Maximum Prison.

The MDC Alliance is not a terrorist group but a political party which carries a better vision and hopes for the suffering masses and as such our members must never be treated as terrorists.

It is regrettable that real terrorists like the Gulen Movement linked Obadiah Moyo are walking scot free despite looting millions of Covid19 funds meant to help masses.
