Farai Dziva|MDC Alliance president, Advocate Nelson Chamisa has described the outcome of the Presidential election in Malawi as a major breakthrough for democracy.

Although the Malawi Election Commission has said official results are yet to be announced, indications are that Dr Lazarus Chakwera is poised for victory.

Dr Lazarus Chakwera served at the helm of the Assemblies of God for many years.

The Lord has given Malawi a Godly man.Kudos to state organs’ professionalism and citizens’ vigilance.Well done Malawi,” President Chamisa wrote on Twitter.
