State Agents Break Into Obert Masaraure’s House

Farai Dziva|Suspected state security agents broke into ARTUZ leader Obert Masaraure’s house as Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration intensifies the persecution and prosecution of perceived opponents.

According to leading human rights organization, ZimRights, armed men broke into Masaraure’s house and harassed his wife.

President Obert Masaraure’s house at 01:00hrs. They broke the doors and harassed his wife. Obert was not at home. We condemn these barbaric acts.
Masaraure has suffered at the hands of state security agents a number of times,”ZimRights tweeted.

Masaraure has been arrested several times for speaking on behalf of suffering civil servants and teachers in particular.

He was also brutally assaulted by suspected state security agents last year.
