By A Correspondent| The state broadcaster, ZBC on Thursday deleted its video of ZANU PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa “revealing” that the late Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement, Air Chief Marshal Perrance Shiri tested positive for #Covid-19.
The video shows Mnangagwa addressing mourners at the late Minister’s Borrowdale in Harare, this Thursday, according to ZBC. The development comes at a time when multiple sources inside government revealed they had no clue what killed Shiri. Yesterday, ZANU PF spokesman Patrick Chinamasa said he does not know what befell Shiri, announcing that only the postmortem would tell the truth. There are no postmortems being conducted for COVID victims. The ZBC YouTube account showed the below results: “Video unavailable” which means the broadcaster has deleted it.

According to a source close to the developments, Shiri did not die of corona virus but food poisoning which he reportedly consumed together with his driver at a rally in Rushinga.
“We are suspecting food poisoning but they are going to pin it on Covid.
“When they came back from Rushinga last week, the driver was complaining of heart burn. On Friday he went to work but Minister Shiri did not go to work. He had already started feeling funny, complaining that he felt like he had heart burn just like the driver”, said a close source who asked for anonymity.
