ZESA Holdings has announced that there will be moderate load shedding on Tuesday night in different parts of the country due to reduced capacity and generation at Hwange Power Station.

In a statement, the power utility said its engineers are working flat out to restore full capacity at the thermal power plant. The statement read:

ZESA Holdings would like to advise its valued customers countrywide that there is limited power supply on the national electricity grid due to reduced capacity and generation at Hwange Power Station.

This will lead to moderate load curtailment between 1800hrs and 2000hrs tonight (Tuesday 15 September 2020).

Restoration of service to optimum levels is currently underway and customers are advised to use the available power sparingly.

The inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.
