I Am Wrongfully Accused, Linda Masarira Throws Son Under The Bus

By Jane Mlambo| Theft accused LEAD President, Linda Masarira has responded to the reports of her appearance in court on theft charges, saying she is being wrongfully accused for the crimes committed by her son during a time he was battling drug addiction.

Posting on Twitter, Masarira said she advised the police about her son’s crime for them to change the docket but they refused to take heed.

She took a swipe at those she accused of smearing her over her son’s misdeeds.

“I am wrongfully accused in this matter. The person who stole some of the things on the docket is my son during the time he was battling with drug addiction. He even advised the police likewise who refused to change the docket. No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper,” said Masarira.

Masarira appeared in court facing allegations of selling her landlord’s property worth US$3 140 before converting the money to her own use.

The court heard that sometime in January 2018 Lawrence Madamombe, the landlord, left his property in Masarira’s custody at his place of residence in Marlborough.
