Tinashe Sambiri|The MDC Alliance Mashonaland West Province Facebook account was disabled by State Security agents last week.

The cornered regime has intensified efforts to disrupt the dissemination of the party’s crucial information.

12 members of the MDC Alliance Mashonaland West Provincial executive committee were violently arrested by armed police officers and soldiers last month.

In a statement the MDC Alliance Mash West Province dencounced the hacking of the vibrant Facebook account by State Security agents:

We would like to thank the Lord Almighty for granting us the serenity to lead his flock in the face of adversity,needless to say in the face of barbaric and archaic leadership.

It is a shame that our Facebook page has been under severe attack from State spies such that we failed to update you on the arrest of our 12 Management members on 20 February 2021.

The 12 who were frogmarched by heavily armed soldiers from the Provincial Headquarters to the Chinhoyi Central Police Station are Provincial Chair Mr Ralph T Magunje, Provincial Secretary Mr Tawanda Bvumo, Provincial Spokesperson Mr Mandava Blessing, Provincial Deputy Secretary Mr Emmanuel Chinanzvavana, Provincial Women’s Chair Mrs Abigail Usai, Provincial Youth Chairpersons Mr Colleen Mapfumo, Provincial Deputy Organising Secretary Cllr Dzeka, Provincial Deputy Spokesperson Mr kudakwashe Mandishona,Provincial Youth Secretary Ms Pauline Sibanda, Provincial Secretary for Local Government Cllr Richard Vhitirinyu and Provincial Sec for International Relations Mr Wilson Makanyaire.

These die hard Democrats have appeared again today at the chinhoyi magistrates Court but have been remanded to the 31st of March 2021 for the delivery of judgement on their application for refusal of further remand.

The Democracy soldiers are not deterred by such cowardly and illegal acts by the Regime to whip the voice of the voiceless into submission.
