By Jane Mlambo| MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has send his condolences to the people of Tanzania following the death of President John Pombe Magufuli last night.

Posting on Twitter, Chamisa said;

“With sadness, I note the passing on of H.E @MagufuliJP of Tanzania. My sincere condolences to the Magufuli family and the great people of Tanzania. Our prayers are with them all during this difficult time.Wishing Tanzania a democratic and peaceful transition. RIP Mzee.”

National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) President Professor Lovemore Madhuku has also consoled the Magufuli family and people of Tanzania.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Tanzania following the passing on of a much loved leader, HE President Magufuli. May his close family find strength and comfort from the fact that Pres Magufuli was a true son of Africa. MHDSREP,” said Madhuku.
