Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance leader President Nelson Chamisa has said God Almighty will deliver the nation from political oppression.

Citing the biblical illustration of Gideon who is chosen by God to lead the battle against the Midianites, President Chamisa urged the nation to depend on the Lord for total deliverance from oppression.

Then the Lord said to Gideon, “There are too many people with you for Me to hand over Midian to them, otherwise Israel will boast [about themselves] against Me, saying, ‘My own power has rescued me.’

“You see, the battles are spiritual- so we have to depend on the Lord for victory,” one church leader said.
