Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance deputy chairperson and Zengeza West MP, Hon Job Sikhala has said Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa is a desperate dictator.

The Zanu PF regime has announced that MDC Alliance MPs, particularly Hon Sikhala and Hon Settlement Chikwinya will be fined for disrespecting Mr Mnangagwa in Parliament.

Responding to the announcement, Hon Sikhala wrote on Twitter:

Ladies and gentlemen I have one question to all of you who participated and celebrated November 17, 2017 kuti maiva maonei muna Mnangagwa? Kurikuendeswa nyika is totally closure of any pol space. All of us are going to be banned from contesting elections using one trick or the other.

Our freedom will never be deterred by antics of a desperate dictatorship.

Yesterday Jonathan Samkange presented a Report on the Parliamentary Privileges Committee which he was chairing and found 108 MDC Alliance MPs guilty of not standing up when Emmerson Mnangagwa comes to Parliament. All MPs were fined )level 12 of the fine)

So as it stands no Member of Parliament elected on the MDC Alliance ticket in 2018, will be allowed to stand again to become one in their lifetime. When we talk of evil, this is evilness in full motion.”

MDC Alliance spokesperson, Advocate Fadzayi Mahere also dismissed the pronouncement:

“Parliament has ceased to be a legitimate voice for the people.

They want Hon
@JobSikhala1 and Hon
@chikwinya
to pay $800,000 and others to pay $400,000 as a fine for challenging Zanu PF.”
