By Honest Makanyire|The deadly COVID-19 pandemic has left 52 million vulnerable children without food and essential needs, it has emerged.

According to Child Registry, In Africa, 52 million vulnerable children require urgent assistance in various forms.

“The COVID-19 Outbreak has left over 52 million orphans in Africa without hand sanitizers, masks, food, medicine and testing kits,” Child Registry said in a statement.

Child Registry Ltd through African Child Prosperity Fund (ACPF) and in Collaboration with various Partnerships is also working on a scheme that enables parents to contribute towards their children’s prosperous future.

Child Registry representative in Zimbabwe, Noel Mavura said:”The future of children is our primary concern. We are working with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, to empower and equip children with relevant skills that will help them in future.”
