By A Correspondent- The late socialite- and businessman, Genius Kadungure’s wife, Zodwa Mkandla has joined Zanu PF.

Zodwa’s affiliation to Zanu PF was announced Monday by the party’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa when he placed her in a six-member Zanu PF fundraising committee.

The fundraising committee, according to state media would mobilising resources for the operations of the party.

The development comes barely a few months after her cousin in law, Mary Mubaiwa revealed to ZimEye that Zodwa was the first to state that she was in trouble with Constantino Chiwenga and that Zodwa had leaked these details to Ginimbi before his sudden death.

The six-member committee is chaired by Zvimba South Member of Parliament Phillip Chiyangwa.

Other members of the committee include Elder Everisto Mudhikwa, Scott Sakupwanya, Tafadzwa Musarara and Antony Pote.

Mnangagwa said the mobilised resources will also fund the party’s cell restructuring and data capturing exercise that will lay a firm foundation for modernising the administration of the party.

The committee will report and account directly to Zanu PF’s secretary for Finance, Patrick Chinamasa.
