By A Correspondent- Two missing bodies from the Kariba boat tragedy have finally been retrieved ending a week searching mission on Lake Kariba.

The body of a woman, Faith Dzauwa, was the first to be retrieved on Thursday. It was found floating from where the boat capsized.

The last body to be recovered was of the father of a four-year-old baby, Noah Mwinde. It was found about five kilometres away from the place where the boat capsized.

An eyewitness, Zambezi, who is part of the rescue mission said:

The body of the woman was found floating and retrieved. After that, they retrieved the body of Mwinde at around 10 pm, as it was pushed far away by the waves about five kilometres away. All the four bodies have now been accounted for.

Meanwhile, the body of Tafadzwa Mashingaidze, a Zimbabwe National Army fitness trainer who died in the tragedy, was buried at Mudzimu, Hurungwe on Thursday.

The accident occurred around 4 am last Friday when the vessel hit turbulent waters, stirred by strong winds, near Ndomo fishing camp.
