Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance spokesperson Advocate Fadzayi Mahere has dismissed the new rhumba released by Roki in collaboration with Koffi Olomide and Panganai Java as a fluke.

In the song the Congolese rhumba musician chants: “ED Mnangagwa Number 1 …”

Irate Zimbabweans have accused Java, Roki and Koffi Olomide of endorsing Mr Mnangagwa who is “presiding over a stolen mandate.”

The Congolese singer also makes suggestive dances that denegrate Mr Mnangagwa’s character .

Advocate Mahere accused Mnangagwa of attempting to capture artists to magnify his brand.

“So your “plan” is to capture artists, make them sing your praise and then you will suddenly become popular?

It will not work! The people can see from their pockets that the country is going in the wrong direction. Rhumba propaganda won’t change this.

We need new leaders!Flag of Zimbabwe,” argued Advocate Mahere.

“We don’t need a rhumba song.We need functioning hospitals.
We need good schools.
We need clean water.
We need jobs.

We need reliable public transport.
We need food on the table. We need decent wages.
We need modern infrastructure.
We beed freedom.
We need new leaders,” added Advocate Mahere.
